This morning mrs tan dapat news yang sedih...
Sahabat sekolej mrs tan more than 15 years ago sedang tenat fighting for her life...
Sedang melawan cervical cancer stage 4 yg baru diketahui kewujudannya 2 months ago dan sekarang sedang merebak ketmpt lain termasuk hati...

mrs tan lama sungguh tak jumpa dia...
So this morning bila dapat berita mrs tan and my 2 bff went to Putrajaya Hospital to visit her...

Sedih betul tgk dia hari ni...
Macam bukan Puteri yg mrs tan kenal...
Macam terkenang2 Puteri yg lemah lembut, bersuara manja, suka senyum dan gembira selalu...
Bila tengok Puteri hari ni yang terlantar lemah dgn wayar2 sebak sungguh rasanya...
Ditambah lagi masa mrs and friends nak balik sambil salam ngan saudara and her SIL, saudara Puteri cakap mintak maafkan salah silap Puteri kalau ada...
Terus kelu lidah mrs tan nak menjawab...
Puteri tak pernah buat salah dekat saya auntie...
Dia sahabat yg baik...
Itu memori yg ada dlm kepala mrs tan and it will remain that way...

To Puteri moga kuat semangat untuk melawan penyakit ini...
Jgn putus asa...
Ingatlah Allah swt takkan duga hambanya kalau hambanya tak mampu...
Utk keluarga Puteri, berat mata memandang berat lagi bahu yang memikul...
Moga anda semua dapat beri kekuatan to Puteri utk terus berjuang...
Doa saya untuk Puteri Nurkhalida Isa selalu...

Singapore - Day 3

Hari ni free n easy...
Pagi bagi teruna n dara plus my bff children mandi kat pool dulu...
Pastu kami check out...
Kat Singapore check out dia awal at 11am...
Kami ke bawah shopping for souvenirs and ke bawah lagi ke MRT station...
Hotel yg kami stay tu just above Lavender MRT so dgn senangnya kami ke Orchard Road...
Katanya Singapore Great Sale still on so kami nak check it out la...
Mak aihhhh ramainyer umat dari dlm MRT, stationnyer and jalan kat Orchard Road tu penuh ngan mat2 bangla berdating ngan philipinos...
Penuh kat tepi2 jalan n dalam shopping complex...
Pening tul kapla mrs tan nih...
Lagi teruk sesak dari KL...

Lepas recce ala kadar kami stop for brunch...
Pastu change our direction to Mustapha Center coz my bff nak carik Singapore's t-shirt...
Dara dapat mp3 as her b'day present...
Teruna berbulu je tgk...hehehe
Tunggu la ye ur b'day pun coming soon...

Lepas Mustapha Centre kami balik ke hotel to claim our bags...
Then amik cab ke rumah cousins mrs tan...
Lepak2 kejap pastu amik MRT ke airport...
Sampai kat airport another cousin brother sampai pastu ajak lepak minum sementara tunggu nak check in...

Lepas family mrs tan check in baru la bff mrs tan n family check in pulak...
La ingatkan dia dah masuk awal...
Rupanya member siap bershopping kat Charles n Keith...
mrs tan apa lagi jeles la sebab mmg plan asal nak rembat either kasut or handbag kat sini...hehehe
Terus tanya kat staff incharged to check if mrs tan boleh keluar kejap...
Dia bagi green lite so mrs tan kuar gi Charles n Keith, en. tan plak kuar gi halau nyamuk...
Time tu lagi 20 mins nak boarding...
mrs tan lari cam tak cukup tanah sampai kat boutique Charles n Keith scan ala kadar...
Grab one bawak gi counter...
SA tu plak kata i will get u a new one...
Sambil tu boleh dengar announcement last call tuk flight mrs tan...
Bayar, grab the paper bag pastu nampak en. tan dah tunggu...
Lalu kastam balik amik our hand carry bag pastu q nak board to the plane...
Tak penah mrs tan shopping laju cam gini...hehehe
Kalo selalu shopping style gini mesti en. tan tak complain nak ikut...hehehe

Overall trip ni ok tapi missing luggage tu yg meranapkan plan yang dah disusun cantik...
Mood en. tan n mrs tan sudah lari...
Byk plan utk shopping n sight seeing tak dapat buat coz kekangan masa...
Nak order macaroon dari pn rima yang handal membaking tu pon tak kesampaian...
Tunggulah ada rezeki lebih kami akan kesana lagi...
Insyaallah...

Ehhh next trip en. xmo ikut kan???...hehehe
Kat sana kan susah nak halau nyamukkkkk???...huahuahua

Singapore - Day 2

Hari ni kami mmg plan nak spend one whole day kat USS
Kami keluar b/fast kat Arab St...
Kene bedek ngan org yg kata Arab St tu dekat...
Padahal mrs tan rasa lagi jauh drpd Little India...

Pastu amik cab direct the USS...
Overall we had fun tapi frustrated jugak coz ada quite a number of games yg xleh main coz waiting period dia ada yg mencecah 2 hrs nak main takat 5 mins je...

mrs tan n family berjaya masuk ke Madagascar, Far Far Away Land, Jurassic Park (one game only), Revenge of the Mummy, Treasure Hunters (teruna n dara only), Kereta Kuning (yg langar2 - x ingat nama), Water World, Steven Spielberg movie section, Hats corner and few others...
Pastu beli souvenirs tuk the kids and us kat Universal Studio Stores...

So you guys yg ada plan nak pegi sila avoid Sat, Sun n Public Holiday...
Next time kalo nak pegi mrs tan akan plan week days n hopefully dapat main sumer games...

Sila layan gambo teruna n dara...
Gambo family xleh letak coz en. tan kata dia handsome sgt cam p. ramlee...

Singapore - Day 1

Plan for today - 8/1/2011

Lepas dah landed kat Changi direct to the hotel utk check-in...
Rehat sekejap than keluar makan...
Lepas tu melawat cousin brothers n sisters kat Tampines & Simei...
So that the next two days kami boleh concentrate with jalan2 n shopping...

What actually happened

Safely landed at Changi as scheduled @ 1.45pm...
Settle with immigration, pergi toilet...
Collect baggage kat conveyor belt...
Tunggu macam durian xmo gugur bag tak keluar yg keluar ada 2 unknown bags...
Check around and was asked to go to Lost & Found counter of Air Asia...
Sambil tu mata melilau kot2 ada org yg wrongly took our bag...
Lodged report and was told to wait for at least 2 hours for updates...
PIC keep on saying diaorang cuma receiving end so diaorang tak tau apa2...
Mudah sungguh melepaskan diri sendiri...
Decided xmo gi check in hotel first sebab takut Air Asia call suh collect bag once dah jumpa...
So pusing2 kat airport sambil check out people's bag...

After more than two hours masuk dalam balik sambil diescort oleh police officer to the counter again tapi jawapan ttp sama no update n still checking...
Was also told 1) people wrongly took our baggage 2) our baggage still dalam flight or somewhere in the airport 3) our baggage still at KL...
So kene tggu lagi...
Dah fed-up tggu pastu perut mmg dah lapar giler kami gi check-in kat hotel pastu lepak kat bilik menyejukkan ati yg panas...
Sambil tu mmrs tan call kawan kat KL mintak tolong coz dia kenal PA of someone high ranking in Air Asia...
After multiple calls was told to check Air Asia's website for baggage tracking or call their baggage centre at LCCT at xxxxxxxxx...
Pakai internet kat hotel @SD4.00 per 1/2hour...
Both on x successfull...
Internet xleh no record found, call LCCT no n counter kat Changi pon cam musibat coz xde org angkat...
Fed-up betul dgn sumer n since kami pun dah lapar kami pegi Geylang for our late lunch...

After lunch kami gi bazaar nak cari baju and undies in case bag kami tak jumpa...
Dah check ngan hotel laundry, they send to external operator so not possible for us to cuci our baju yg tgh pakai and dapat balik immediately...
Dah la next day tu plan nak gi USS n ticket sumer dah beli...
Then we headed back to hotel...
Up to this moment @ 8pm no one call us and again our attempts to call the nos (Changi and LCCT) tak berhasil langsung which is xlojik coz takkan xde org yg jaga...

Mmg x penah terfikir la holiday tanpa baju...
Dalam hati mmg rasa nak gi airport and yelled at them tapi still sabar lagik...
Abt 9 pm someone called from the airport cakap bag dah jumpa...
mrs tan tanya what actually happened to my bag dia punya jawapan just aaaa...
pastu mrs tan terjah la kata org salah amik ke?? dia punya jawapan tetap aaa...
mrs tan cuma kata kalo betul cam tu tolong cakap tima kasih la kat org tu ye coz bagi us unnecessary stressted...
That guy kata dia akan arange for delivery at 10pm and most probably mrs tan akan dapat bag tu by 12am...
Memula mrs tan ok je tapi terpikir pulak Singapore is so small takkan amik masa sampai dua jam kan...
From airport to our hotel mrs tan amik MRT pun tak sampai 1/2hour...
So mrs tan suspect bag mrs tan tan mmg tertinggal kat KL...

So dah confirmed bag kami dah jumpa...
Kami pun keluar berjalan ke Mustapha Centre which is abt 20 mins walking from our hotel...
Balik berjalan tu bag belum sampai...
Close to 12am mrs tan dapat phone call kata bag dah sampai kat lobby hotel...
Turun ngan en. tan ingat nak interview la org yg hantar tu...
Belum sempat bukak mulut dia dah siap kata i am just the delivery man pls call airport if you want to check further...

Dah la stressed bag ilang pastu lambat betul nak ditrace balik...
mrs tan tunggu about 10 hours for the bag...
Dapat pulak ngan handle boleh tercabut...
Pastu boleh dengar cam skru tercabut...
Mmg macam @#$%^&*()_+...
Sakit hati betul mrs tan...
Kita punya la jaga harta org lain yg tolong menjahamkan...
mrs tan strongly believed yg bag kami tu telah direntap/heret dan dicampakkan...
Kalo tak camtu bag kami tu tak akan cacat...

Tak pasal2 kami incur unnecessary expenses pasal beli baju n undies pastu nak kene repair bag...
Dan tak pasal2 jugak plan kami lari...
Dah la cuti pon singkat je...
Agaknyer camne mrs tan nak complain ye...

Singapore...

Alhamdulillah saatnya makin hampir...
Opening tak tahan tu...hehehe
Tomoro mrs tan n family akan berangkat ke seberang tambak...
Bawak the kids jejalan...
Cam biasa mrs tan mmg suka jalan melawan arus...
School holiday kami duk dendiam...
Tak school holiday kami gi jenjalan...hehehe

Hotel dah book, ticket USS dah purchase...
Duit dah tukar...
Baju je lum masuk dlm luggage...

Moga trip ni berjalan lancar...
Flight tak delay...
USS tak pack sgt weekend...
Moga teruna n dara pon enjoy almaklumla first time nak ke sana...

I want to make a difference....

Dear friends and families

I attended a city survival training organised by my Bank. The speaker was Kapten Bala who is very well known; “Di mana ada bala, di situ ada Bala”. He is superbly funny, pleasant, knowledgeable, experienced, and most importantly, a hero. K. Bala said everyone who attended the training that day were “the chosen ones”. I hope I am the chosen one to make a difference.

I WANT to make a difference. So I wanna share with you what I learned from the training. Kindly note that the training was for ladies but the information is useful to all:

- identify your Green, Yellow and Red Zone wherever you are. Green being the safest and Red where there is the highest risk

- rapists (I will generalize all perpetrators for this purpose as rapists) will attack if there is time and opportunity. Cut time, cut opportunity and there will be no crime

- rapists generally don’t bring items to kill women/girls, they normally use what the women is wearing/carrying; eg. bra, panties, plastic bag… but I am not saying don’t wear bra and panties please

- if ever you were in a bad situation involving rapists (nauzubillah), know some of these tricks:

o “play the game” as they say it. For sure you cant beat them/him, so play the game. When the time is right, attack eg. bite, kick etc

o squinch your eyes when they want to blindfold you, as hard as you can. This will actually leave a gap at the bottom (of the blindfold) for you to see

o cross your hands when they want to tie your hands. This way you can move your hands when you need to just to keep the blood flowing. If blood doesn’t flow to your hands, it will become numb and in a few hours time, your hands are ‘dead’, and may be amputated

o one woman actually escaped from being hurt cos she played dead

o pretending you are epileptic and have a fit (sawan babi), will save you (insya allah)

o sometimes communication does work

o when the guy is strangling you, harden your neck by clenching your teeth together

o if they stuff rice, tissue for eg. inside your mouth, try not to swallow it. You will get die from choking, and if killing you is not their intention, the perpetrators might not be charged

o the weakest part of the hand is the finger, if the guy grabs you or strangles you, try to flick his fingers firmly. Automatically the hands will let go

- teach your kids esp your daughters about life, boyfriends, making friends etc… you never know

- if a male colleague, friend, or boyfriend sends you/your daughter back home, ask him to wait for your sms that you are safely inside the house. Its for your benefit as well as his (trust this)

- general rule of thumbs: know when, what and where to speak

- get to know your neighbours, cos they are the ones who can come to you in 5 minutes if something bad happens to you at home. Make a pact with your neighbours in terms of what signal to use if any of you are in trouble

- for those ladies who are staying alone, period, or husbands away for a while, don’t make it obvious

o hang some men’s clothes together with yours

o avoid routines (same time shut off lights, same time comes home from work, for example)

o if someone calls your landline, make sure make it noisy and lively in the background as though you are not alone

- if you get the same bundle of catalogues for some period of time or if your mails are missing for sometime, it could possibly mean your house is being watched

- if you have to walk alone to your car, try not to walk directly to the car; make a zig zag, L shape

- if ever your child is kidnapped (nauzubillah), try to find him/her immediately in the next few hours after your find out. Don’t delay. Report later

- apply damage control wherever necessary!

I guess that’s all for now. Ladies especially and Gents, please please be extra wary.

At the end of the day, it’s Allah’s or your God’s (for non Muslims) will. Our job is to pray to Him for protection, mercy and guidance and so on. At the end of the day, we leave it to Him.
